If you read the The Things They Carried , tell other FHS community members if they should read it and why. Discuss a scene or chapter that impacted you. Or pick one of the following topics and respond:
1. What are the things YOU carry?
2. Why are people who haven't experienced war still fascinated with war stories?
3. Should war stories be true, or is it okay to fictionalize about war?
4. How does TTC show us that being at war changes one's perspective of the world?
(Remember to identify yourself with your first name, last initial and your English or Social Studies teacher)
It is not enough to read and write words. We must read the world as well. Students will use this site to talk about their summer reading, FHS Reads, good web sites and other topics.
